Naturals KW Classic Figure Competition

Not Fun Anymore

Well it has happened.  Not my show, but rather the emotional roller coaster that screws with your head in the last 2 weeks of prep.  I had read about it and was warned but thought, “It won’t happen to me because I won’t let it ”.  WRONG.  I am a loose cannon.  I have always had a bit of a quick temper but wow!  Just look at me the wrong way or heaven forbid someone tell me I am getting too skinny and the wrath of Shelley will descend upon them!  I go from crying to a fit of rage in seconds and then crying again.  Why?  I don’t understand.  My diet has not changed in quite a while and I do still enjoy it (I am weird that way and can eat the same things over and over and it doesn’t bother me).  I think your mental state must change ever so slowly that you don’t notice it then all of a sudden POW!

The good thing is I no longer need to call the bylaw officer on my “weekend neighbor” for disturbing the peace. The bad news is she may call the police on me after I calmly, slightly, raised my voice at her and as politely as I could asked her if, on the weekends in the wee hours of the morning, she could keep her fu…….nny little dog quiet.  She seemed a little scared when she ran in her house.  My poor family and staff are also getting an unintentional earful and for that I am truly sorry.

This is not fun anymore and at this stage I seriously doubt I would compete again. I have decided that this will be my last post until after the show and I am going to take some time away from the Internet as well as training clients.  I should probably stay away from the general public as well so if you see me on the streets RUN!

10 days out food will change and adherence will be of the utmost importance.  The water loading and dehydrating scares me but has to be done.  Still have not picked up my suit yet as the designer would like to wait till the latest possible time.  Dehydrating will change my body quite a bit and I certainly don’t want that tiny little scrap of material to not fit in all the right places!

I have added the last update picture to my collection and you may be thinking that I do not have as much definition as perhaps in some of the other shots but I have pretty much lost all my summer tan which helps to emphasize definition hence the reason tanning is mandatory for all competitors so we are on the same playing field.

So off I go wish me luck that I get through this.  I will just “sit here, drink my water and be sad”

The pictures below show my progressions. 12 weeks out, 8 weeks out, 6 weeks out  4 weeks out and now 2 weeks out.  The last pic will be show day!
