Hard Work

Get 'Er Done!

Let’s Get ‘Er Done!

At Fitness Funatics we constantly stay on top of the latest and greatest new ideas and fitness trends. Our approach to advertising is no different and I get to use my marketing skills! (Yes dad, I didn’t party my ENTIRE education away).

I really like to encourage people to think about my ads and have them find connections. I can’t remember where my husband and I were heading to one day this summer, but we were driving past quite a few farms and I made the comment on how hard farmers work, and how lucky they are that they get to eat what they produce. I automatically associated farmers with hardworking, healthy, and happy people. I thought about my staff and how hard they work at being fit and fueling their bodies so they can inspire and help others. Both professions, the farmer and the trainer, have the same outcome. We are hardworking, healthy, and happy people; exactly the kind of person you would want to lead, coach, train, educate and support you. So why not put my staff in a farm setting and let everyone make that connection.

“A bunch of hillbillies in a scene from Green Acres”

I had lots of ideas in my head and envisioned us lifting bales of hay and climbing tractors, but everything ended up with us coming across as a bunch of hillbillies in a scene from Green Acre’s. Oops, aging myself there! I had to make it simple, make a statement and make the connection instant. That’s it! A simple picture with a simple message. I believe in the message behind “The Secret”: put it out there and the universe answers. Low and behold, Kaitlyn Shular of K-Interiors offered us use of her barn on her beautiful property just outside of town.

We lucked out with a gorgeous, sunny fall day to put us in high spirits and great camaraderie.  The very talented Peter McNeice did his magic with photography and humour, hard to look somewhat serious when the photographer is hamming it up!

The results: Fabulous! As you can see in the final poster above (which you may notice in the community soon). Far exceeded my expectations! I think we look fierce, confident and ready to work hard.

Okay Bruce County “Let’s Git’er done”!

And here are some goofy “behind the scenes” ones from the shoot. Can you can tell we had a blast?
